Cafe Restaurant Michl’s is a place where long-term unemployed people are supposed to be prepaired for the re-entry into working life.
Besides everyday-life in a large-scare kitchen, attendant conversations are the centre of the project - same in the film. Cumulativly the counselling interviews - that are actually based on understanding and supporting - get more and more controlling and judgemental. What am I capable of? What am I able to do? How am I being judged by society?
‚I am assistant chef, but not kitchen assistant’ said one of the protagonists once... and was largely overheard.
